While in the two loser's bracket games, the West Zone Champions and Caribbean Zone representatives stayed alive thanks to big innings at the plate that led to comfortable leads.

Perris, California 8 Brownsville, Texas 6

Day two at the Pony-13 World Series in Whittier, California began with a battle between West Zone Champion Perris, California and South Zone Champion Brownsville, Texas. Thanks to a six-run bottom of the fifth inning and solid defense in the top of the sixth, Perris was able to outlast Brownsville to advance 8-6.

Perris got on the scoreboard first in the bottom of the first inning, when Isaac Torres doubled home Harvey Pena Jr. from first base to make it 1-0, but David Loera was caught stealing second and Torres was picked off at third to end the inning.
