KASL Cares

The Power of 800

It may come as a surprise to many of you, but currently there are over 800 kids playing in the Kiski Area Soccer League.  Obviously, one of the main goals of KASL is to promote a life-long love and understanding of soccer while allowing the kids to participate in a sport that promotes physical fitness, competition, and teamwork.

KASL Cares allows the kids to look beyond themselves and understand the importance of giving back to members of their community whose needs might be greater than their own.

In the past 3 seasons, the KASL Cares programs have supported a number of different groups including local food banks, active members of the military, homeless veterans, local police barracks, various children’s charities and an orphanage in Haiti.

Testimonials

“We cannot express enough in words to say - thank you - for Kiski Area Soccer League's food drive that has assisted the Kiski Valley Food Bank in 2016.  We want to thank you for being a partner and good neighbor in the supporting Kiski Valley Food Bank's mission of mercy.  Your League is truly a neighbor helping neighbors”  - Kiski Valley Food Bank

“Please accept out thanks, as well as the thanks for many cats and dogs that are waiting for their forever homes at Animal Protectors.  We are so fortunate to have your support.  Without your kindness, we would not be able to do what we do each and every day.  Go teams!”  - Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley

“I just wanted to thank you again for KASL’s part in National Thank a Police Officer Day.  Your donations helped out a lot!  With all the donations this year, we collected about double what we did last year.  Thank you!”  -
National Thank a Police Officer Day

“It's overwhelming to me because I have met these kids and know they have nothing and how excited they are.  Life changing for them.  And it's cool too because the adults don't really "play" with the kids in the orphanage a lot - I think they have to work so hard to just live - and it's neat to see the adults playing with them.  Just all around a wonderful thing.  So our sincere thanks for the donation.” - New Covenant Mission Orphanage of Northwest Haiti
