Volunteers

KASL asks that all parents participate in a voluntary activity for the league.  At the time of registration for the upcoming season, parents are asked to state their preference for volunteer activities.  Every effort will be made to accommodate requests.  However, if an excess of volunteers exists for a particular job, parents will be requested to accept alternate jobs.  By developing a strong network of parental volunteers, our children will enjoy the game of soccer during a smoothly running season, and our parents will be well informed of league activities and opportunities.

Age Commissioners

The age commissioner acts as a liaison between the board of directors and the coaches to coordinate the distribution of information and materials to coaches and players, and to answer questions, and/or resolve minor issues quickly.  When necessary, the age commissioner will bring matters requiring board action to the attention of the board in an orderly fashion.  U6 through U10 and AK Girls have positions for age commissioners.

Coaching

KASL encourages parents to get involved in coaching.  Educational programs have been developed to accomplish this.  Coaching handbooks and a variety of videos are now available on soccer techniques, soccer rules, and micro soccer.  In addition, courses for coaching licenses are offered.  The PA Website has information.
