Try-Out Policy
- Any coach interested in
having a travel team must send notification to the travel coordinator on or
before May 30th.
- According to PA West
rules, division 3 and division C teams cannot cut players unless there are
more than 18 children who have tried for that team.
- All U10 teams and
division 3 and division C teams are required by PA West to give each player
50% playing time.
- Other travel teams do
not have a minimum playing time requirement, nor do they have to roster a full
18 players.
- Any currently existing
travel team does not need to hold tryouts unless they are trying to fill a
spot on their roster.
- No child will be
permitted to tryout unless he or she has filled out a registration form and
paid the registration fee.
- All participants will be
assigned a number and will use the same number for each tryout date.
- Travel tryouts 1st
date will be held the last Saturday in June, after the PA West open tournament
at Edinboro.
- Coed travel will start
at 9:30 AM and will conclude at 4:00 PM.
- Girls travel only will
start at 1:30 PM and will conclude at 4:00 PM.
- Coed and girls travel
tryouts 2nd date will be the second Wednesday in July at 6:00 PM
until dark.
- Only children who have
participated in the tryout may be placed on a team.
- Late registrants can
only be placed on a team if there is room and only after everyone who tried
out is rostered on a team.
- All decisions of the
coaches are final.
- Participants will be
notified by the Saturday following the Wednesday tryout for division 1 or A.
- All other participants
will be notified by the following Wednesday.
